Established in 1985 as the Istanbul branch of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, T-Bank became an separate entity in 1991 named Bahreyn ve Kuveyt Bankas A.u. In 1992, the Bank was purchased by Douuu Group and renamed Garanti Yatrm ve Ticaret Bankas A.u. When it was purchased by Mehmet Nazif Gonal in 1997, the Bank became known as MNG Bank A.u. T-Bank benefits greatly from the banking expertise of BankMed and Arab Bank, particularly the long-standing retail banking and corporate banking experience that dates back to the 1930s.
