The Securities Investors Association (Singapore), or SIAS, is a non-profit organization established in June 1999. It was created to address the Central Limit Order Book issue, which affected many retail investors in Malaysian stocks. SIAS is recognized as a charity and an Institution of Public Character (IPC), making it the largest organized investor group in Asia. SIAS focuses on promoting investor education, corporate governance, and transparency. It has conducted over 1,000 educational programs, benefiting more than 140,000 retail investors. The organization advocates for investor rights and provides members with access to online resources, priority registration for webinars, and events related to investment. SIAS also publishes resources, including a book on shareholder activism, available at a special price for members. With a membership base of nearly 71,000 retail investors, SIAS plays a significant role in advocating for investor rights in Singapore and the broader region.
