The Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX), also known as PT. Bursa Berjangka Jakarta, is Indonesia's first commodity futures exchange, established in August 1999. Headquartered in Jakarta, it operates from The City Tower Building. JFX features a dual-board system with a Board of Commissioners and a Board of Directors, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
JFX facilitates futures contract transactions through an electronic trading system, providing hedging opportunities for the business community. The exchange offers a range of futures contracts, including multilateral contracts like Olein, Gold, and Cocoa, as well as bilateral contracts involving foreign currencies and stock indices. Additionally, JFX supports specialized contracts in the CPO auction physical market and Sharia Commodity Markets. In 2022, JFX launched JFXGOLD X, introducing spot physical gold contracts to enhance trading options for its members.
