Grooming Centre, also known as Grooming People for Better Livelihood Centre, is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in December 2006 in Nigeria. The organization focuses on providing financial services to the economically active poor, particularly those involved in small trading and micro-productive activities. Its mission is to empower these individuals by offering tailored micro-financial services directly to them. The services provided by Grooming Centre include micro-loans for small businesses, micro-savings to encourage personal savings, SME loans for small and medium enterprises, and individual loans for personal financial needs. With over 699,412 members, the organization primarily aims to support women and those with limited access to traditional banking systems. Grooming Centre operates multiple branches across Nigeria and has a significant impact, supporting over 644,000 active loanees. Additionally, it engages in educational initiatives by offering grants for research in inclusive finance and poverty alleviation, reflecting its commitment to knowledge development and sector growth.
