The Official Tourism Board of Madrid Region (General Directorate of Tourism) is the entity responsible of its international and national tourist promotion. The main purpose of this organization is to present its tourist resources and attractions with very diverse products, such as active, nature tourism and eco-tourism, cultural tourism, Towns of Madrid and World Heritage (UNESCO). Madrid ranks in the top ten European cities for trade fairs. Meetings, congresses and fairs are organised throughout the region in many hotels and convention centres such as the Madrid Conference Centre and IFEMA.
