CHINGUITTY BANK was established at the end of the year 1972 for the purpose of corroboration the relation between Libya and Mauritania, to be the first investment bank in Mauritania, and it has started his activities in a difficult economic circumstances in the host country, in spite of that Chinguitty Bank represent distinct sign from the signs of Mauritanian economy where as it participate in creation a suitable environment to take the most important economic decision in the country which is create the local Mauritanian currency and participate strongly to support the politic and economic independence, and move the foreign banks and companies which was dominate and control the countys economy. The bank was able with the unlimited support of the Libyan shareholder to play the main role to support the Mauritanian economy by continuing giving and increase the credential facilities needed by the economic sectors, so that it form and constitute an important element of the pillars of the national economy of Mauritania. As the Bank has been able to overcome most of the hardships that they faced during its career, it still working today achieving the objectives that was established for. The current capital of the Bank is (6,000,000,000) six billion Mauritanian Ouguiya, 71.42% of the Libyan side and 28.58% of the Mauritanian.
