Banca Romaneasca was set up in 1992 as a universal commercial bank, with an entirely private share capital, gradually widening its range of products and services so as to meet the needs of its business partners. Starting September 1996, the bank has become the first Western Union Financial Services international agent in Romania. For the first time in Romania, a bank was involved in electronic money transfer services worldwide.
